A study showing the benefits of patient-to-patient mentoring, in the case of diabetes patients, and how this is more effective than having a third-party professional in terms of changing behaviour. While the long-term results are not clear, not surprising to me that a more personal connection may be more effective.

In my first round, I did talk to a number of ‘buddies’ through the cancer society but have not done so recently although I have volunteered to do so at my hospital.
