An update on the use of supercomputing in cancer diagnosis (previous stories here and here). Still in the learning phase but promising. One of my haematologists noted to me that parallel thinking, not serial thinking, is most appropriate with cancers, and so it will be interesting to see how the programmers address some of the complexities and interactions.
