Google Course Asks Employees to Take a Deep Breath – NYTimes.com

Good, somewhat lengthy, article on Google’s Search Inside Yourself (SIY) initiative to help people manage the hectic pace in Silicon Valley. My favourite:

One tool the course teaches is S.B.N.R.R. — nicknamed the Siberian North Railroad but really short for Stop, Breathe, Notice, Reflect and Respond. Give people the benefit of the doubt and consider how to respond positively to those who upset you.

The sidebar slideshow has some of the key lessons. Useful everywhere.
