Is a good patient simply one who never complains or disagrees?

Another in a series of articles on being a good patient. Not too much new but a good reminder, with my comments in brackets).

  1. Be honest
  2. Be on time (but bring a book, iPad or equivalent for the inevitable wait)
  3. Be nice
  4. Be informed (but do not pretend to know more than the doctor, focus on knowing enough to understand options and issues – this could also be written as ‘Be prepared’)
  5. Be patient
