When doctors are incorrect in their prognosis of terminal illness

A good discussion on the limits to predictions, the human element (the greater the personal connection between patient and doctor, the greater the likelihood of more optimistic scenarios), and the need for being open with bad news.

My takeaway is to live your life as if you have less time, and fill up the time you have with what is most important to you and your family.
