A good short piece on cancer in India, particularly in Punjab, and the effects of pesticides on the high levels of cancer given lack of knowledge of how to use them safely. The article cites the use of endosulfan, in particular, which was banned last year, but, as is normal with international treaties, gives developing countries an additional 10 years to implement the ban. Closing quote makes pointed link to asbestos exports to developing countries:
