An interesting study of the energy consumption patterns of the Hadza people of Tanzania, one of the few remaining populations of hunter-gatherers. Despite being more active than us in the sedentary West, their energy consumption is roughly the same. Quote:

We’re getting fat because we eat too much, not because we’re sedentary.
